all to nothing

our final kiss
was the sweetest dagger
to the heart

as I lie here
drowning in the flood
of spilled love
that was trapped within
I know it was right
to part

and yet

the burden lifted
is the harshest freedom
to my mind

as I lie here
dazed by the emptiness
that was once filled by you
I see all my futures
and no love
can I find
